User Training

KMI offers four distinct types of user training. Training is tailored to the audience, the final configuration of the system being delivered, and the EHS workflow and business practices of the organization.

Train-the-Trainer – Most of KMI’s training takes this format. Since EHS software systems are only one component of a successful EHS management system, end user training is typically most successful when delivered by the end user’s EHS manager or regional lead. During trainer training, all functional aspects of the system are covered in detail, as well as helpful training techniques for attendees that are not familiar with leading training sessions.

Beta/User Acceptance Tester Training - During each Beta delivery of the fully configured system modules, the core client project team is extensively trained in all aspects of the system. This training includes Super User, System Administrator, and General User training. This session also covers proper user acceptance testing procedures and the process for defining and reporting issues that are discovered.

End User Training – This classic training type involves direct training of general system users as well as role-based users. KMI trainers focus on real life scenarios for realistic, hands-on system interaction. KMI recommends that an EHS manager accompany the KMI trainer to act as a resource for answering non-software specific questions which typically arise (e.g. EHS policy or procedural questions).

IT Support Training – For in-house licensed installation, KMI offers collaborative technical training for IT personnel to transition ownership of the system and system support. This training covers log management, report development and management administrator definable components such as list items and security settings. Full transfer of system integration knowledge also typically occurs at IT support training session.
