NAEM

The National Association for Environmental Health and Safety Management (NAEM) is a non-profit educational association composed of professional private and public sector environmental managers. This web site provides information about EHS headlines and events, and connects environmental managers in a members only section through discussion forums, a resource center, membership directory, newsletters, and more.

EHS Benchmarking Association

The Environmental, Health & Safety Benchmarking Association is forming an association of environmental, health and safety managers to identify best business practices and compare operating performance. They provide benchmarking data, a critical facet of well designed environmental, health and safety management systems. Basic membership is currently available at no charge to qualified individuals.

Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI)

GEMI offers benchmarking survey results, in addition to web-based tools such as the Climate Change Website and the HSE Web Depot.

Measuring Environmental Performance of Industry (MEPI)

This website presents the results of a major two-year research project on the environmental performance of European firms in the manufacturing industry. The European Commission-funded project developed a practical approach to performance measurement, and collected environmental data for 280 European companies in five industrial sectors (book and magazine printing, electricity generation, fertilizer manufacture, pulp and paper manufacture, and textile finishing).

Of particular note, it contains valuable insight into the competitive advantages KM offers to corporations that embrace the concept.

The Knowledge Management Resource Center

This comprehensive site has a collection of KM resources, each of them reviewed and briefly described to help you locate what you are looking for.
