United Energy Pakistan selects KMI’s EHS Software Suite including Incident Management, Audit & Inspection, and Compliance Management
(Toronto, ON) July 12, 2012 – United Energy Pakistan (UEP) has awarded a contract to KMI for the implementation of an EHS Management Information System (EMIS). KMI’s system will manage the reporting cycle for all workplace injuries and illnesses, audits and inspections for all onshore and offshore locations, as well as external and internal regulations to ensure the company is in full compliance. KMI won the contract after a long and comprehensive selection process conducted by UEP and an external consultant. Both UEP’s safety and environmental personnel were involved in the selection process and are excited to begin working with the new application.
Javaid Ansari, Applications and Data Manager, said “Once KMI was selected, we were on a tight timeline due to our change in ownership. The KMI team was in Pakistan to initiate the implementation process. Their track record in our industry is impressive. Additionally, there are some unique factors of operating a business here. Together we have developed a system that is perfectly tailored to our business needs.”
Matt Airhart, President & CEO at KMI, mentioned “The logistics of doing business with a 10-hour time difference really showed the character and dedication of both teams. The intuitive and user-friendly software was a win-win for both ends of the user spectrum while also at a competitive cost. UEP was confident moving forward with KMI due to our extensive experience in the oil & gas sector.”
