VicRoads selects the KMI EHS Software Suite for Environmental Management
Australia’s second largest state road authority, VicRoads, has selected the KMI EHS Software Suite from Knowledge Management Innovations, Ltd for managing environmental incidents, compliance, action items and a unique set of sustainability requirements. VicRoads approached KMI with a challenging list of environmental management and reporting needs and KMI responded with a creative, flexible, user friendly and cost effective solution.
KMI will be implementing their Incident Management, Environmental Metrics, Compliance Management, and EHS Reporting & Dashboards modules across the VicRoads organization for project level management and corporate wide reporting. The system will be accessed through KMI’s always-on, global Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery network.
According to Dr Helen Murphy, Director of Environmental Sustainability at VicRoads, “KMI’s ability to meet most of our environmental management requirements with a unique solution and their experience delivering EHS systems encouraged our choice in the KMI EHS Suite. The flexibility of KMI’s software will allow us to solve data challenges beyond core requirements.”
Matt Airhart, Director of Business Development for KMI adds, “VicRoads came to us with clear challenges and requirements for environmental data reporting and management and we were confident that KMI could guarantee a tailored solution with real long-term value. This project emphasizes several key components that make KMI unique. It required global SaaS hosting infrastructure, a high level of application flexibility and, perhaps most importantly, it required business analysis skills that go beyond what most EHS software companies are ever required to deliver. We were able to meet all three of these challenges. Our server capacity in Sydney, the extreme configurability of our system and the strength of our Project Management teams are all keys to the success of this challenging project. We look forward to a long-term partnership with the very creative, committed and professional team at VicRoads.
